English Language Requirements
At Hertford College International Programmes, we offer places to students of all English language levels. We are aware that a number of students may have studied English for many years, yet have had little chance to communicate with native speakers.
We are careful to place students into a class level appropriate for their abilities and needs. We test groups on arrival as well as liaising carefully with their universities.
On our student application form, we ask students to assess their own level and to provide details, if any, of English language exams that they may have taken. We also ask applicants to write a short text prior to arrival so that we can understand their needs and interests in advance.
Classes
We are careful to maintain the high quality of our teaching by employing only experienced and dedicated individuals. Our classes feature the most up-to-date teaching strategies and materials. We regularly monitor classes and ask students to complete a weekly feedback form.
Our classrooms are located in our college itself as well as other colleges and historic buildings in central Oxford.
