Our Residential Advisors, RAs, tailor your evening schedule to suit your interests and needs.

The RA-organised social activities aim to enrich students' stay here, encouraging them to have fun, gain confidence, and practice their English skills. Our RAs organise a wide range of activities to cater to a wide range of tastes, and will try their best to organise activities on request. All extra-curricular activities are optional - if students want to spend the evening resting, studying, or exploring the city, they are welcome to do so.

Our RAs and students often form life-long friendships, and sometimes even go out to visit each other years after the programmes are over.

Traditional English pubs, board games, quiz nights, and karaoke nights all play a role in your social life here at Hertford College.

Other cultural activites include tours of libraries, museums, and other historic landmarks. Some groups choose to play games, go to the theatre, or organise movie nights.

As Oxford students, our RAs have an extensive knowledge of the city and the university, and are excellent guides.

RESIDENTIAL ADVISORS

If you love the great outdoors, you're sure to find something for you.

Oxford boasts many beautiful green spaces as well as impressive architecture, and spring and summertime are ideal times to see the city in full bloom.

In the past, students have gone punting, played croquet and cricket, or competed against other universities in friendly sports days in University Parks. If you're not particularly sporty, you and your RAs might prefer to grab an ice cream, go for a leisurely stroll along the Thames, or simply sit and read on the lawn.
