Welcome Tea
The inaugural Welcome Tea is the first chance our students get to experience the Hertford College dining hall. This is where Hertford College students eat during term time, and the wood-paneled walls are adorned with portraits of former students and principals. As is English tradition, your tea with finger sandwiches, cakes, and scones.

Gala Dinner
As is tradition here at Hertford, your stay will end with a Gala Dinner, where we celebrate your academic achievements and say our goodbyes. This memorable evening begins with a drinks reception in the Principal's Lodgings and a certificate presentation ceremony.
The candle-lit dinner includes four courses and a selection of white and red wines. We see it as the perfect way to say goodbye and reward the hard work of our students.
Our dedicated team of catering staff ensure that you will eat well during your stay here at Hertford College.
Dining factilities are provided on our four sites: College, the Graduate Centre, Warnock House, and Abingdon House. We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner on teaching days.
During your stay here you will also get the chance to attend formal dining events such as the Welcome Tea and Gala Dinner. Expect to wear formal clothing.
